"... You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Taking care of the bodies God gave us through worship, prayer, healthy eating and fitness!

Your Best Body

Men don't usually worry about this, however, for the ladies there's a big misconception that women will look masculine if she lifts weights, that's *typically* not true. Muscle is beautiful on a woman! It keeps body parts where she wants them! This is why we don't step on a scale, muscle doesn't weigh what fat does.

Also, one more thing- you can't spot train. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but doing 100 crunches a day typically won't give you amazing abs (especially if you're following up with a soda or chips). I like to immedietly follow my workout with a whey protein shake with fruit (strawberries and ginger are great for recovery!).
My favorite part to work is my shoulders. Muscular shoulders give the illusion of a "v shape" making the hips look smaller and more proportioned.  No matter what body part you're working its so important not to over do it and to make sure you're using correct form, or again you can hurt yourself. *

Start with no weights, then move up as you can 3's, 5's etc. Its hard to make a weight training regimine without knowing or seeing the person, so this is my basic guide, some of the things I like to do.

For general fitness:
Go through, do 1 set of each, resting up to 1 minute after each set. Do two to three sets 15 reps each. Start with no weights or 2-3 lbs, please use proper form. Always warm up first and stretch out after.

Plank
Floor Cobra
Floor (or stability ball) push ups
Squat to shoulder press
Lunges, 15 reps, each side
Upright Dumbell Row,
Crunches (on stability ball)
Front Dumbell Raise
(no weights) One legged Squats, each side
Wall Sit (how long can you hold it?!)

optional : curls (standing on one leg) 2-3 sets, 15 reps and tricep kickbacks 2-3 sets, 15 reps

*And, as always, please check with a Dr. as (again) I'm not a Dr. and I'm not liable :)

(Sorry, I must post this!)
